What is Adsense Auto Ads

AdSense Auto Ads is a feature from Google that handles ad placement on websites automatically. After adding a small piece of code to your site, Google uses machine learning to figure out the best spots for ads. The goal is to maximize your revenue while keeping the user experience pleasant.

With this feature, there's no need to manually decide where or how ads should appear—Google takes care of everything for you.

Why Consider Improving AdSense Auto In-page Ads

While Google places these ads for you, including within articles, the automatic layout isn’t always perfect. Sometimes, the ads can appear too close to nearby text, with little to no spacing or margin, making the layout look messy. Adjustments may be needed to ensure the page looks more organized and professional.

Picture below shows the lack of spacing between the ad and the paragraph under it.

How To Add Space Between Auto Ad (In-page) And Paragraph

The following CSS codes will adjust the margin spacing at the top and bottom of the ads within the article, ensuring a cleaner, more organized layout.

For Related Search Ad

.post-body .autors-widget {margin: 20px auto;}

For Banner Ad

.post-body .google-auto-placed {margin: 20px auto;}

Change the value of 20px to your preference. The higher the value the bigger the spacing.

Also, there are times where the ad is smaller than the container causing big empty space. (Orange spaces in the picture below show the margin spacing.)
